Critique & Care

We’re pleased to announce the first iteration of the monthly workshop Critique & Care, which will take place 3-7pm on 18. June 2021 at Fri Art Kunsthalle in Fribourg, in conjunction with the exhibition Hamishi Farah, Dog Heaven 2: How Sweet the Wound of Jesus Tastes.

Critique & Care is an informal monthly meeting open to Black art practitioners in Switzerland to share ideas, work in progress or completed projects and to communally discuss and critique the presented work. For this iteration, C&C will be joined by exhibiting artist Hamishi Farah. There are 3 slots for presentations and 10 slots for participants. Sign up for the workshop by 16. June 2021 and let us know if you would like to present a project or join as a participant. The workshop will be in English (French and German also possible!).

A small budget will be made available to cover traveling costs within Switzerland for this event for persons who need financial assistance. 

Snacks will be provided at this event. 

There is 1 flight of stairs to reach the workshop room.
1 flight of stairs to reach the first floor exhibition space.
3 flights of stairs to reach Hamishi Farah’s exhibition. 
In case of need, assistance will be provided to carry a person to the different spaces. 

COVID: the sanitary measures in place at the moment of the workshop will apply.
