At Fri-Art, Daniel Knorr introduces the installation The woman of my life does not love me yet, made up of several series of matrjoschka, the famous Russian headstocks. How do we perceive the other, why do our feelings towards the other change continuously? How can we pass from a state of admiration to a state of rejection towards the same person? The other is our mirror, he is that which enables us to realize ourselves. Each time we discover a facet of his personality, an unknown factor appears. In parallel, a film composed of 360° shots, according to a process of presentation produced by the artist, shows the customers of various cafés of Fribourg. The other is always the subject, whether he’s is around the camera or around the spectator.
