Philippe Meste

The project of this exhibition tries to put in parallel the question of survival in the situation of confrontation between power and sex for Philippe Meste and the relations in the couple for Smith/Stewart.

These two forms of confrontation/relation form an integral part of our existence. Sex, violence, survival, love, aggressiveness, obsession, relation and communication are subjects which art should “touch”. Nothing is more delicate than examining some of these attitudes as long as their implication in our way of life remains obscure, put apart, and one needs a certain amount of courage to approach them.

Philippe Meste establishes the first steps of a critical guerrilla resolutely urban, with new weapons, starters of possible developments between sex and highs.
