Homage to Bruno Baeriswyl and Jacques Sidler

A tribute to Bruno Baeriswyl and Jacques Sidler, two artists from Fribourg who recently passed away, two personal friends who have significantly influenced the course of my life. Bruno introduced me to art and always encouraged, advised and stimulated me at the beginning of my own artistic practice. Together, as early as 1974, we opened and directed the RB Gallery to present to the public of Fribourg, who did not understand our own approaches, the developments of contemporary art and to contribute to its development in our region. These were also the beginnings of my activities as a curator. Jacques accompanied me on a journey that made us discover the world. He made me aware of the different cultures we encountered and helped me try to understand them. He also opened me to other forms of thought and to a certain philosophy of life.
