Bruno Baersiwyl

In order to celebrate with dignity the 50th anniversary of this artist from Fribourg and to testify to him our recognition for his contribution to the development of contemporary art in our area, Fri-Art asked him to carry out a series of five covers of large size.

Bruno Baeriswyl excels in large sizes. His pictorial gesture is indeed so full, that he gives to the features a sufficient vibration so that the painting becomes the very symbol of moving forms. This fixed movement accentuates the phenomenon which we can perceive very easily, that of a great liberty of action in forms and consequently in the artist’s gestures. Indeed, he paints with a physical and instinctive conscience; he declares himself: “painting is an adventure”.

The majority of his works are visible from various points of the city, night and day.
