CHARTE ARETHA
Friart is a signatory to the Charte Aretha, a symbolic prevention tool designed to take a stand against discriminatory behavior and create a respectful, friendly and safe environment for all those involved. The Aretha Charter is managed by the Fribourg-based organization MILLE SEPT SANS.

We do not tolerate inappropriate behaviours, nor inappropriate gestures, nor harassment, nor discrimination based on gender identity, sexual/romantic prefernce, physical appearance, disability, skin colour, ethnic background and social environment. If you need help to get out of a situation that requires discretion, speak to our staff and say following: can i see Aretha? Our staff will offer you help and support with your consent and with discretion.

Commented tours

A commented tour is a stimulating way of familiarising oneself with what is currently happening in contemporary art, as well as broadening one’s knowledge. The visit includes an introduction to Kunsthalle Friart and to the current exhibition.

Duration: 45-60 minutes
– 130 CHF small groups (up to 10 people), entrance fee included

A contemporary art centre is an art and social sciences lab and Kunsthalle Friart offers various visit formats to suit all and enable you to immerse yourself in the world of contemporary art. A specific art mediation approach has been designed for students to stimulate participative immersion in current exhibitions and the development of critical thinking.

POST-OBLIGATORY EDUCATION

This critical and artistic mediation option consists of an introduction to Kunsthalle Friart in the context of Fribourg as well as to contemporary art questions and realities and then a lead-in to the current exhibition along with critical mediation within the exhibition itself.

CYCLE 3, CANTON DE FRIBOURG

Lasting 90 minutes, this cultural mediation option (supported by the Fribourg Canton Culture Department) consists of a specially adapted introduction to Kunsthalle Friart and contemporary art. It may be chosen in conjunction with an accessible commented visit and be part of specially designed mediation activities created for Fribourg school students!
