Zone de Tournage
- Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster
The exhibition is curated by Michel Ritter
Domenica Gonzalez-Foerster, by the narration, presents a character, a temperament, a personality. She based her work on short stories, (auto)biographies, memories of childhood or one moment of identification, a state, a dream and describes the history of “her” character with specific colours, objects, rooms and places.
With Fri-Art, Domenica Gonzalez-Foerster carries out a new type of project, Zone de tournage (shooting zone). This luminous sound zone crossed by the spectator, filmed by a camera, has the aspect of a filming spot, with its adequate material and a stormy atmosphere of flashes and thunder. The image is retransmitted directly on screen and monitor. It is the “crossing of the zone” inspired by the film Orphée by Jean Cocteau.
