The exhibition is curated by Michel Ritter

Through his complex settings and excessive scenes (Apocalypso Places, 1999/2000, Tueur né, 1997/2001), Christoph Draeger uses parody as an instrument of reflexion of reality. The installation “Apocalypso Place” is a devastated living room where a sitcom is projected which is held after the Great Catastrophe; three characters in an equally devastated living room await impatiently the next alarming news, the euphoria becomes total when they are themselves the subjects of a  report of the MSNBC 24 “Disaster and Survival Channel” on the victims of the catastrophe.

The installation “Der letzte Ritter/Le dernier chevalier/The Last Rider” draws face to face the familiar world of leisure, good times, and the fatality of death which is daily forgotten to better surprise us. Once more, the artist examines the topics which became his mark of reference: the powerful shock which forms an integral part of the human and natural destruction.
